The Duchess is a semi realistic dildo, made of dual density silicone. For those that don’t know, dual density means that the dildo is squishy on the outside, but firm in the core. This was a first for me and I was anxious to try it out. I’ve had the chance to test this toy quite a bit, and so far I’ve really enjoyed it. Read on for more details.
The Duchess is part of Tantus’ O2 Dual Density line. It is of course 100% Ultra-Premium Silicone, with all the hygienic benefits that entails, such as, it’s easy to clean, body safe, and non-porous. But being that it is dual density, the firmness of the dildo varies. There is a firm inner core, covered entirely by a much softer outer core. And when I say soft, I mean seriously soft. From the moment I opened this toy, I could not resist squeezing the soft silicone. The head of the dildo is made entirely of the softer silicone and as such, has quite a bit of give, as well as plenty of flex along the shaft. The silicone has a matte finish along the shaft, a very shiny finish on the head, and attracts dust and dirt like a vacuum. The Duchess is 6.5″ in length, with 6″ insertable and has a maximum width at the head of 1.8″, narrowing down to 1.6″ along the shaft. This toy has a nice flared base, making it anal safe. I should note, that the bottom of the base on my toy was convex and therefore would not sit upright on it’s own. I don’t know if this was just my toy, or if the entire line is poured like this. The Duchess is harness compatible, suction cup compatible, and has a place for a bullet vibe to be inserted.
This toy does include a bullet vibrator. It has 1 speed, and I found it incredibly buzzy. I have heard that the We-Vibe Tango will fit comfortably in the dildo, however I don’t own one, so I can’t confirm it. I used the bullet vibe for my first few sessions with The Duchess, but after that I put it away. I need deep, powerful, rumbly vibrations and this bullet provides none of that. It takes 1 small, non standard battery.
The Duchess’ soft silicone made it interesting to insert. The pillow soft head of the toy would compact against the surface of my sphincter as I applied pressure, before suddenly popping in. It was a bit of a surprise the first time and I made sure to be a bit more delicate from then on out. For me, this is a size I’m very comfortable with, but if you need to warm up, please take the time to do so. Once inside, the softness made it feel like a smaller toy, and was extremely comfortable. I’m used to firmer toys, so I was worried that with the ultra soft silicone, I wouldn’t have any proper prostate stimulation. As I started thrusting, I realized I need not have worried. The large head of the dildo brushed beautifully across my prostate and I was content to thrust until my arms were sore. My orgasms with this were surprisingly sudden and quite intense every time I used it. I would feel like I was far from orgasm (but enjoying myself quite a bit) and then moments later my toes would be curling and I’d be flying over the edge. I’ve also become quite fond of using this for warming up for larger toys, as the soft body feels great as a starter. Clean up with this toy is simple as usual, but I would recommend taking extra care cleaning the details around the coronal ridge, as lube and gunk get stuck in the depths of the details.
The Duchess by Tantus is a quality silicone toy and I would highly recommend it. The dual density silicone feels absolutely wonderful and the girth feels filling but not stretching. I like it very much and it’s a toy that I keep coming back to. It doesn’t provide the most intense stimulation, but it’s highly enjoyable.
