I’ve been staring at the Tantus Amsterdam for a while now. I heard about it when I first started reading review blogs a few years back, but up until recently, it was just too big. But ever since I mastered the T-Rex, I’ve been seriously considering giving it a shot. Would I be able to fit this massive slab of silicone inside me? Or would it just be too big?
I won’t leave you in suspense. I conquered the Amsterdam, and I am very proud of myself. Read on for more details.
The Amsterdam is a solid piece of black silicone, made by the wonderful people at Tantus. This is a large, non-realistic black dildo, based on the designs of the traffic barriers in Amsterdam. It has a large coronal ridge and three raised “X” shapes along the length of it’s shaft. It is made of Tantus Super Soft silicone and comes in a matte finish. It retains it shape well enough for easy insertion, but has plenty of give when squeezed. It has a flared teardrop shape base which makes it safe for anal play and easy to tell which direction the “X” shapes are facing, while inside of you. The Amsterdam has a length of 10.5″, a maximum diameter of 2.6″, and almost no taper on the head. As it is silicone, it can be easily cleaned, by soap and water, a 10% bleach solution, boiling, or tossing it in the dishwasher. As this is a silicone toy, it would be best to stick to water based lubes when using it.
The Amsterdam is a large toy, and at the time that this was posted, it was the largest toy I had ever used. So I took my time, starting out with many different toys to warm up. First I used The Vamp and T-Rex, followed by a long session with my A-Bomb. Once I was thoroughly relaxed, I got out the Amsterdam. I used a lot of lube for this toy, covering it from head to base. I hovered above the toy and slowly lowered myself onto it. The sensation was intense, more filling than any other toy I own. Due to the softness of the silicone, there was no discomfort at all. This toy was too heavy for me to grab and thrust, so i kneeled over it, repeatedly lowering myself. The “X” shapes, which I had expected to be uncomfortable, brushed against my prostate, not intense, but noticeable. The toy was too long for me to take the entire length, but was enjoyable all the same. The soft silicone head wasn’t painful when I lowered myself too far.
But I was expecting more. Yes, the girth felt amazing. I loved the full feeling I got when using this toy. But due to the extreme softness of the silicone, I felt it was lacking in prostate stimulation. With the large head, I had hoped that it would be as intense as the coronal ridge on my T-Rex, but instead it was just delicate brushes against my prostate. My orgasms were nothing to complain about as the sensation of being so full and stretched left my knees shaking when I got off. I guess I’m picky, but I was just expecting more sensation.
The Amsterdam is a great toy for those looking for large girth, but not for those looking for intense prostate stimulation. The softness of the silicone makes for more comfort at the expense of sensation. If you are looking for a soft silicone toy, with a large girth, this might fit your body. If you want intense stimulation or need firmer material, then this toy probably won’t meet your criteria. Tantus also offers a smaller version of the Amsterdam available on their website.
